This section covers the most common staff mistakes and how to fix them quickly.

What are the numbers in front of staff replies?

Each staff reply gets an internal number. Use that number with !edit, !delete, or !message to reference the reply.

Commands are not working. What should I check?

Confirm the command prefix in config.ini (prefix). Also confirm you have the correct inbox server permissions.

The user says they cannot use Modmail

They may be blocked, too new, or not in the server long enough if those limits are enabled. Ask an Admin to verify.

Logs are not loading

Logs are served from the machine running the bot. If the port is blocked, logs will fail. The default port is 8890.

I cannot move a thread

Thread moves require allowMove = on and the correct permissions in the target category.

Snippets are not working

Check snippetPrefix and snippetPrefixAnon in config.ini. Ask an Admin if you are unsure.

I replied in the wrong thread

Delete the reply using !delete <number>, then send the correct reply in the right thread. Double-check the channel name before sending.

I sent the wrong reply or phrasing

Edit it with !edit <number> <new text> to correct the message cleanly.
